Next show(s): March 17 & 18, 2012 -- We shut down for the winter until March 2012, so.... Please support our sister district, District 27 in Ione, for your winter shows!! They have a covered arena, and the shows go on rain or shine!!

See Clements weather forecast (10 day or hourly). Call John at or Shannon at Shannon's number for more information on District 7 shows, the weather and arena conditions.

Our shows: High Point and Reserve High Point Awards to each of the 6 divisions each day. Placings 1st through 5th in every division! Sign-ups taken at show. Saturday sign-ups at 9 am, ride at 10 am. Sunday sign-ups at 8 am, ride at 9 am. Plan to camp out all weekend at the Clements Buckaroo Arena show site. Hook-ups are first come, first serve. The fabulous S.O.B. snack bar will be open! Ponies: Bring your pony card for this season, or call ahead to get measured before the show starts, or ride as a horse.

District 7's October 2011 show profits were all donated to the Kovacs Family Memorial Fund. The Saturday and Sunday shows, in addition to a silent auction and raffle brought in more than $6,000 for the Kovacs Family Memorial Fund. Thank You Everyone for your help in making this such a successful weekend! It makes us all proud to be part of the CGA Family!

When entering District 7 shows (not Geek Show), use our pre-fillable entry form complete with show schedule. You can type in your info before printing! Caution - The typed info on the form will be lost when saved to your PC, unless saving with full version Adobe Acrobat. See our full schedule of events on the Show Dates page!

Effectively immediately, all pony entries must have a current pony certificate at show sign-up to compete in Open Pony class. If not, then contact Shannon at  Shannon's email to be sure a Master Judge is at the show to measure your pony. Without a certificate or measurement, your pony must compete as a horse.

Snack Bar!! Yes, there will be a Snack Bar provided by 'S.O.B.' at All District 7 shows!! There will be breakfast, lunch and dinner at Each Show, including breakfast burritos (ask for the Amandarito!), hamburgers (Logan burger), sandwiches (the Barbequed Billy is great!), nachos, cookies, drinks (smoothies when it's hot!), and much more! Even coffee for those needing a morning wake-up!

Want the latest information on EHV-1? Check back each day for the EHV-1 Daily Report.

Riders: Please be sure to bring your CGA membership card with you to each show! CGA requires that you be a current member to ride at district shows. Thank you!!

Barrel Racing in a cloverleaf pattern is a speed event. Half of the CGA events are primarily speed events. The California Gymkhana Associaton (CGA), District 7 (Lucky 7) is based out of the Clements area in California. It is run 100% by volunteers who donate their time helping at shows so that riders can get their needed rides. Most of the volunteers are also riders. Some go on to become carded judges. This is a community club dedicated to the many horse people who enjoy participating in timed speed events on horseback. It is a family club for all ages. Daily High Point awards, class placings, and Year End Awards are offered for riders at all levels -- from Future Champions to Hall of Fame riders.Pole Bending around 6 poles is primarily a skill event. About half of the CGA events are primarily skill events. There are 13 CGA events. Usually, seven different events are run at each show, in addition to set-ups (times only) if time allows. We embrace all CGA rules and requirements.  Riders under 18 years of age must wear helmets at all times while on a horse.  All riders must wear jeans, button down shirt (tucked in) with collar, belt and boots. The Clements Buckaroo arena is sizzling f-a-s-t !! You do not need to be a member of District 7 to participate in our shows, but you must be a member of CGA. CGA and district membership applications are available at every show. First time participants or anyone who just wants to watch are always welcome! There is never a cost to park or watch!
